The Dittmars New Addition!

Today we welcomed Josefine into our family. She is a beautiful 3 year old grayish-black and white cat we love her so much she has been here for about 3 hours but is already a big part of our family she is so sweet! She likes to come and snuggle with us she is very loving. She has already stolen our hearts (including Daddys) and she knows this is her house. we were all eating dinner and she was walking around rubbing our legs when we heard a long low growl and some hissing. There was another cat outside the sliding door and Josefine was not happy!

Memories of Grandma!

So lately I have been thinking about grandma alot maybe it is because of the holiday season but today I had an overwhelming memory of grandma. For my wedding someone gave me a griddle which i just love because I never felt like I had enough cooking places and now I do. Well today I started making breakfast on it and I don't know what it was but the smell of the bacon cooking made me remember when we were younger and we would be in Manti for the summer when grandma was well enough we would all go outside and she would make us breakfast on the big griddle outside. Those were always days I looked forward to because it was so much fun to eat breakfast outside and to watch grandma prepare it for us. I don't remember the last time we did this but I remember her going back to bed afterwards. Also about a 2 weeks ago my mom was having some kids over for lunch and she wanted me to get Cheetos to give them I picked out the puffy kind and of course I will always associate those with grandma because she always had them and she would let us sit in her pretty bed with her and eat Cheetos I know it has been along time and i probably dont remember things exactly because i was 11 or 12 when she died so feel free to correct me if I dont remember correctly. I love you all and hope you had a very merry christmas!

A Very Broken Camera!

Last night Christina, Dallin and I decided to go to temple square to see the lights and take pictures. So we all bundled up and went downtown we got there and found a great parking spot. and walked down to temple square. we had been there about 5 minutes when the battery in the camera died. So we went back to the car and went home( which i was fine with bacause my whole back was wet bacause i slipped in the snow!) so we went home and charged the battery for about an hour then we all bundled back up and went out again to face the cold. We got there and found another great parking spotand went and walked around and had alot of fun we were taking alot of pictures when Dallin was going to take a picture of Tina and I he dropped the camera on the lense. He is not a short man so it was a long fall tina and i started laughing which didn't make dallin very happy. But it really was so now our camera is broken. It broke before i could get a picture of my christmas tree or my couch. So now we don't have a camera. Sad... but we will get another one eventually. Here are some pictures i took before it broke.

Getting Ready for Christmas!!

I love christmas! It is my favorite time of year. I have all my christmas shopping done and my apartment is decorated I have my beautiful tree up I am so excited! and I really wanted to put up pictures of my tree and my new couch but i cant find my camera, so as soon as I find it I will but some on! I am so happy this year I have so much to be thankful for. This is such a magical season. I am so thankful to be spending it with my best friend and the love of my life. and with my family who now live in provo so I can see them more often.

Unpacking!

Unpacking seems to be harder than packing. No matter how hard i try I cant seem to find the time. I have school and then homework then suddenly my husband is home and I have not gotten too far in the unpacking process. but it will soon be done and then we can have people over. The good thing is I like my new ward so i am not dreading church on sunday. In my last ward I sat by myself so thats what i thought would happen in this one, but people talked to me and sat by me. It was wonderful I truly felt welcome.

New Apartment!

Wow! What a crazy past few weeks!! We are finally in a more permanant place! My close friends know that I was NOT looking forward to this move! But I must admit now that we are here I feel like I finally have a home here in Salt lake! My husband has been very supportive of me this last week and a half! We are living in the west village at the U of U. The first time i took the shuttle to the trax station Dallin went with me and it seemed easy enough assuming there were only the green and purple shuttles. However it turns out that there are at least 3 other colors so i got off the train confident that i would be able to find my way home by just getting on the next shuttle to appear. Well a shuttle came so i got on the snow had blocked out the color so i assumed it was purple. i got on and we started going it did not take long to figure out that i was not going the right direction. I sent my husband a text telling him i was lost. He asked me where i was and i said i thought i was on a blue shuttle and i didn't know how to get back. I was too scared to get off the shuttle because i had no idea where the different shuttles stop because each shuttle has a different map and i only had the green and purple map. I felt really dumb because i was on the shuttle so long. My wonderful husband came to the rescue and told me where to get off and there he was standing there. I have never been more happy to see him. I know better now so hopefully that will not happen again. Everything else is going good. I am very happy here and i can see myself making friends here. I am glad now for the move but I am even more glad that the election is over and we can now go back to having conversations that do not attack other peoples beliefs and tear them down. That is all i will say about the election.

Moving!

Dallin and I are moving from our wonderful downtown apartment to the married housing at the U. I am not good at packing so I decided to start packing now since we move in a month. So every night while my husband is at work I pack a box that box will stay packed for maybe an hour then I discover something I need out of the box. So I unpack the box get what I need and the box never seems to get packed again!! I know if I don’t start now the day will come when we suddenly have to be out and I am not packed. Luckily my mom, sisters, dad, and mother-in-law all live in Utah so when the day comes they can all come over and help me move and clean. We have a 4 day window between when we can move into the U on the 27th and need to be out of our downtown apartment on the 31st. We both have school Dallin has work and we are both going to be out of town every weekend between now and then!! This is going to be crazy!!
